Forest Pictures
New Mexico and the American Southwest provide endless opportunities for a variety of forest pictures. Because of the elevation changes in the mountains there are pinon - juniper forests, ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, and spruce fir forests.
They can be photographed during the four seasons for even more variety. Since they are on the sides of mountains overlooking wide valleys there are even more choices. There is a limit to how many memory sticks you can afford to buy for your camera and how many pictures the website will hold, but you will exhaust both of those before you run out of forest beauty you want to record.
If you venture into southern Arizona you get into Sonoran desert. It's not exactly a forest, but there are a variety of tree species struggling to exist there. Cat Claw Acacia and iron wood come to mind. All are slow growing, many have nasty spines, but many also make beautiful wood.
